Go for a tour of the University of Calgary's CAVE facilities.
Presenter: Richard Levy, PhD
The CAVE Automatic Virtual Environment is an immersive virtual reality environment comprised of four projection screens. Using an active stereo viewing system, attendees will see interacive worlds in 3D. This facility gives urban planners, architects, archaeologists, scientists and educators an opportunity to interact with three-dimensional virtual worlds. The demonstration and lecture will discuss the value of virtual reality as a tool in education and research.
There will be three tours lasting 30 minutes, starting at the following times on June 17:
