An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a Senior Learning Consultant in our Human Resources department. 
 
Reporting to the HR Director, Corporate Learning Centre, you will be responsible for a team of learning facilitators and for ensuring that the scheduling, coaching, assessing and support of this team meets the needs of the Corporate Learning Centre in delivering quality learning programs for the business. This role partners with other Senior Learning Consultants from the customer teams and the centre of excellence to streamline learning deliveries. The primary focus of the Senior Learning Consultant, Facilitators is to ensure we have facilitators that are ready to deliver programs in a consistent, professional manner. 
 
Your key responsibilities will include:
 
- Recruits and trains facilitators for a variety of ATB Financial learning programs.
- Schedules deliveries and trouble shoots for gaps due to illness and/or vacation.
- Ensures consistency of facilitation tools and establishes standards for delivery.
- Is a role model for the facilitators and is able to coach effectively and to work with the team on their career goals; provides multiple opportunities for facilitators to develop skills and content knowledge in related areas.
- Handles performance management within the CLC learning environment (classroom) as required.
- Consults with key learning resources within the Corporate Learning Centre such as the Learning Coordination team, Learning delivery team and Learning Solutions team and the CLC customer - focused teams to identify and create quality-learning solutions.
- Develops tactical implementation plans and project manages implementation of approved training programs. 
- Works with the HR Director, Learning and Development to integrate project work assignments for the facilitator team.
 -Organizes feedback and evaluation processes on all program deliverables on an ongoing basis.
- Champions the creation of a learning culture within ATB Financial.
- Builds relationships with external vendors and partners in areas of responsibility. Identifies and implements ways to enhance and deepen the partnership.
 
 
 
As the ideal candidate you possess:
 
- Strong background in adult education and demonstrated application of these concepts through relevant facilitation experience in a business environment.
- Consultative-the ability to work with stakeholders to identify issues and define solutions. Influences ideas and solutions where appropriate.
- Negotiation of timelines, priorities and resources.
- Interpersonal-the ability to clearly express ideas both verbally and in writing. The ability to build strong working relationships within the team and within ATB.
- Leadership-the ability to set and influence direction, the ability to implement initiatives and deliver outcomes.
- Project management-oversee multiple projects, allocate resources, manage timelines.
- Business acumen-a strong understanding of the ATB business strategy and drivers of success.
- Organizational-the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, follow-up and allocate time.
- Develops and maintains an understanding of the financial services industry, ATB's vision, business plan and key functions.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- Strong computer skills in a Microsoft environment.
- Business or adult education degree with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a corporate training environment.
- Proven consulting skills in needs analysis and in providing learning solutions.
- Proven track record in implementation and delivery of learning solutions.
- 3 - 5 years business banking experience an asset.
- Experience facilitating in a variety of situations.
