Purpose and Activities
ADETA is a registered, voluntary, nonprofit, association of professionals dedicated to working collaboratively in order to:
- Shape the future of learning in distributed learning environments within K-12, post-secondary and workplace communities
- Provide leadership to the distributed learning community
- Enhance learner success through the sharing of innovative educational strategies and technologies
- Be a catalyst for educational change and professional learning
- Build professional learning communities in response to member needs
- Develop liaisons and partnerships with associations, agencies, and government for purposes of advocating for the interests of members and their learners
Get Involved - Join a Committee
The best way to get involved with ADETA is to join a committee and help us build a better association and profession. Each committee meets in its own Google Group that you can visit and join. Check them out:
- Special Events Committee - Coordinates the F2F PD events and volunteers to help organize them.
- Membership Committee - Coordinates defining and meeting the needs of ADETA members
- PD Committee - Coordinates online PD events and develops the online PD resources
- Communications Committee - Develops the Website and published the monthly newsletter
